Aiming to break new ground in the ARPG genre

The ARPG genre is the domain of giants. Diablo and Path of Exile locked in eternal competition, leaving lowerbudget rivals with little room to compete. With Darkhaven, indie studio Moonbeast Productions (a new outfit featuring several former Blizzard developers) is coming from a different angle: a fully destructible, physics-driven world.

Darkhaven's current demo - featured in the Steam Next Fest - is more of a proof-of-concept at present than anything representative of a final product. Only one character class (the Witch), six skills and one quest. And yet, it's enough to have me excited for the full game, even if I wasn't initially sold.
