With the latest administrative reforms, businesses and investors are expected to find a more suitable approach into the healthcare sector, paving the way for new initiatives.

Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan on April 21 chaired a meeting on simplifying admin procedures and cutting business conditions in a move to create a more enabling environment.

She said that the ministry targets implementing no more than 30 per cent of the total administrative procedures under its management; reducing the processing time for procedures and compliance costs by 50 per cent in 2026; and eliminating all unnecessary business registration requirements.

The Ministry of Health (MoH) considers this a necessary step, consistent with the central government's reform requirements, contributing to building a modern administrative system.

In this effort, the MoH is working to amend a number of circular and decrees, including Circular No.30/2025/TT-BYT dated July 2025, guiding quality standards, testing drugs and pharmaceutical ingredients, and recalling drugs that violate regulations.
