TRUE LOVE BEATEN BY BOLT FROM THE BLUE
The Sunday Mirror
|August 10, 2025
TRUE LOVE was floored at odds of 1-4 as Power Blue carried the colours of Kia Joorabchian's Amo Racing to a 10-1 victory in the Group 1 Keeneland Phoenix Stakes at Curragh.
Power Blue (above left) finished five and three-quarter lengths behind his Aidan O’Brien-trained rival when third in the Group 2 Railway Stakes over the same course and distance last month,
And punters expected True Love ~ Ballydoyle stablemate Gstaad was a morning defector - to gift O'Brien a record-extending 18th win in the six-furlong two-year-old test.
But, having made the running under David Egan, the Adrian Murray-saddled youngster had Ryan Moore and True Love in trouble passing the furlong marker and ran on stoutly for a length-and-a-half win.
