Ex-PM Brown warns Reform's £275bn cuts mean more kids in poverty and OAPs suffering

GORDON Brown has warned a Nigel Farage government would lead to more children in poverty and more pensioners suffering.

The former prime minister hit out at almost £300billion of cruel cuts pledged by Reform UK, explaining it would take the equivalent of shutting down the NHS and closing schools to achieve such enormous savings.

Mr Farage's deputy Richard Tice previously said he is plotting to slash public funding to 35% of GDP, which could deprive public services of £275bn.

In a rallying call to the country to take on Mr Farage and his cronies, Mr Brown warned failing to stop Reform would mean ordinary folk could not afford to be sick, disabled, or unemployed.

The Labour stalwart also slammed the dire Tory record that has left 4.5 million children suffering in poverty.
