Katie's themed cafe has vinyl-decorated tables and instruments on walls
MUSIC lover Katie Kirkham has opened her own cafe in Longton town centre.
The 37-year-old mum-of-two has always wanted to own her own business and has realised her dream by opening The Sound of Coffee in Market Street.
The venue, which used to be a bed and furniture shop, has music inspired decor with about 40 covers. The tables have vinyl records and posters of musicians on them.
It sells a range of hot drinks and iced drinks with bites including scones, teacakes, toast, wraps, sandwiches and cakes. And there are plans to sell alcohol in the future.
