Prison guard made illicit calls to machete attacker inmate

A FORMER prison officer has admitted she made illicit phone calls to a violent inmate locked up for severing a man’s leg in a vicious machete attack.
Heather Pinchbeck made secret calls to Joseph Hardy, 31, right, while working as a guard at Category B jail, HMP Dovegate near Uttoxeter.
Thug Hardy started a 14-year sentence for GBH in 2017 following a violent attack.
The 28-year-old pleaded guilty to misconduct in a public office at a hearing at Birmingham Crown Court.
