The Financial Stability Coordination Council (FSCC) is ramping up efforts to safeguard the Philippine financial system as global and domestic markets face heightened volatility.

In its 41st executive committee meeting, the FSCC reviewed ongoing initiatives to reinforce financial resilience, including proposed reforms to the country's deposit insurance framework.

Members discussed the need for timely and adaptive policies as risks evolve, citing concerns over shifts in global financial conditions, geopolitical tensions and domestic liquidity movements.

"These factors can affect asset valuations, debt servicing, trade and financial market volatility," the FSCC said in a statement.
