As Promised, SEC Provides Discounted Rates for MSMEs
The Philippine Star
|July 18, 2025
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) chairperson Francis Lim has made good on his promise, made on his first day in office, of exploring reasonable fee reductions, particularly for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
On July 16, the SEC issued Memorandum Circular 8, Series of 2025, to further support the growth and expansion of MSMEs by providing discounted rates for certain filing fees.
The issuance solidifies the SEC's commitment to the growth of small businesses by providing discounted rates on certain transactions to MSMEs.
"MSMEs are the backbone of our business sector, accounting for more than 99 percent of all businesses in the country and generating millions of jobs for our fellow Filipinos," Lim said.
