Bajaj to buy Allianz's 26% stake in insurance biz

The Bajaj group and the German insurance major Allianz group have decided to walk away from their two insurance joint ventures in the life and non-life areas as the latter agreed to sell their 26% each holdings in the partnership for a total consideration of a little over ₹23,400 crore or 2.6 billion euros.
It is not immediately known how much Allianz had paid for these stakes when they had entered in 2001.
