LADIES MAKE LIGHT WORK OF BILLERICAY WITH HUGE VICTORY
Tianna Teisan on the ball for Plymouth Argyle Women in their 9-0 win away to Billericay Town
(GEMMA BROWN)
PLYMOUTH Argyle Women produced a devastating attacking performance to run out 9-0 winners away to Billericay Town in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
Argyle were on the front foot from the opening whistle and wasted little time asserting their dominance. High-energy pressing and sharp movement caused immediate problems for the hosts, with Olivia Francis going close inside three minutes after bursting down the right wing and firing into the side netting.
The visitors thought they had taken the lead in the ninth minute when Tianna Teisar finished following neat buildup play from Ella Stephens in midfield, but the offside flag denied Argyle an early breakthrough.
Relentless pressure on the edge of the Billericay penalty area forced a turnover, and Francis showed composure to side-foot home confidently to give Argyle a deserved 1-0 lead inside 10 minutes.
Argyle continued to control possession and create chances, coming close again through Tamara Wil-
cock, whose effort struck the post and bounced out for a goal kick.
