Violent thug kicked officer in testicles

A POLICE officer was left with “anxious thoughts” about starting a family after a thug violently kicked him between the legs while trying to evade arrest.

Aaron Pearson initially ran off after being approached by Cleveland Police officers on Stockton’s Lawson Street on June 24, 2022.

He and co-accused Zoe Swainston both proceeded to attack officers, who had been called to reports of a BMW being driven erratically.

Pearson gave a false name to an officer before kicking him in the testicles with such force he was left in pain for about 20 minutes. Swainston tried to punch an officer in the face while hurling obscenities.

Teesside Crown Court heard both have previous convictions - Pearson has 24 on his record for 49 offences including a previous attack on an officer, while Swainston has three convictions for seven offences. In January this year, both were jailed for their parts in an armed gang attack on a home in Stockton in October 2024.

The violence saw the pair, along with two others, terrorise a family in their home as three young children cowered under a table in fear.
