A FORMER GB athlete is on a mission to help women through menopause as part of her fitness business.

Mum-of-two Liz McGurk, a former GB modern pentathlete, launched FitPod around six years ago and is now adding to it by offering wellbeing to women on their menopause journey.
Liz, 42, said she hails from a family of sports enthusiasts, including her late grandad Derek McLean, who played for Middlesbrough alongside Brian Clough.
Raised in Marske, Liz went on to become a teacher, but decided to change career and train to become a fitness instructor, taking an holistic approach to wellbeing including, exercise, nutrition and mental health.
