SUPPORT PROGRAMME EXTENDED ACROSS REGION
AN EMPLOYMENT support programme which has already got hundreds of people into work has been extended across the region.
The Move Forward programme, led by the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA) and delivered by local partners, supports those who are not currently working to overcome personal barriers, gain new skills and move closer to meaningful employment.
Building on its past success, the initiative will now reach even more people, thanks to continued investment through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
A total of 482 people were helped back into employment through Move Forward in 2024/25 - with a total of 2,171 people receiving a broad range of support, including help to engage with community groups.
And now Move Forward has its sights set even higher - with a target to help another 1,250 people with £2.6m of funding in 2025/26.
