Pump prices drop as US pushes for Ukraine-Russia peace deal

Diesel will see a P2.90-per-liter rollback at the start of December, breaking a month-long streak of weekly hikes, even as gasoline slightly edges up and kerosene declines, oil firms announced Monday.

Kerosene will also see a big-time rollback of P3.20 per liter, while gasoline will rise by PO.20, effectively reversing last week’s P0.20 cut. The mixed pump price adjustments will take effect on Tuesday, December 2.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) attributed the price drop to shifting global market sentiment amid Ukraine’s meeting with American delegates to explore a potential peace deal with Moscow.
