OFWs in Abu Dhabi lend a hand to Cebuano flood victims with basketball for a cause

A group of kindhearted Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates staged a charity basketball tournament for the victims of massive flooding that ravaged Cebu recently.

Billed as “Bangon Cebu”, the week-long tilt spearheaded by Oliver Escasinas with the help of former University of the Visayas (UV) Green Lancers star Roi Lura took place last November 21-28 at Abu Dhabi’s Central Park.
Wanting to touch lives while showcasing their skills on the playing court, a total of 12 teams joined the event for a worthy cause.
