DILG: Zaldy Co likely hiding under Portuguese passport

Resigned lawmaker Elizaldy Co is likely hiding in Portugal, Europe, with a second passport, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla said on Monday, December 1.

Speaking at the Malacañang press conference, the Department of Interior and Local Government chief said Co is “suspected to have a Portuguese passport” that he acquired years ago.
Remulla also appealed to Filipinos abroad to help the government locate Co, urging them to take photos of the former lawmaker and send them to authorities or post them online.
“We appeal to all Filipinos around the world: if you see Zaldy Co, please take a photo and send it immediately or post it online so we have an idea of where he is,” he said in Filipino.
The DILG is coordinating with the Department of Justice (DOJ), Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) and Ombudsman for a “whole of government approach” to ensure Co’s repatriation.
