Before the actual dry run, ahead of the approaching day for the start of Phase 1 operation, the Cebu City Government will inspect the Cebu Bus Rapid Transit (CBRT) route.

Mayor Nestor Archival said the CBRT project must undergo two stages before the official launch of Phase 1. He said they will conduct route inspections, and a dry run before the actual pilot run.

The route inspection began yesterday (Monday) and will continue until the 17th, when the actual dry run begins. “Gusto nato nga inig sakay nato unya og naa man gani muanhi nga taga DOTr ug taga Manila, kinahanglan nga klaro na,” said Archival.

The mayor said that they will need to define the routes first, including traffic plans and the installation of clear signage. He emphasized that this is a crucial aspect of the project, as all eyes across the country are on the CBRT because it will serve as a model project for the entire nation.

Archival said they still need to determine whether the route inspection will already include picking up passengers.
