'Vote chor, Gaddi Chhod': Congress takes BJP, ECI head-on at Ramlila Maidan

Congress Parliamentary Party Chairperson Sonia Gandhi, party President Mallikarjun Kharge, Lok Sabha LoP Rahul Gandhi and party General Secretary KC Venugopal during the Congress rally against 'Vote Chori', at Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Sunday.

Addressing the rally, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi said Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the BJP-RSS leadership are "only brave while in power" and will eventually be defeated by truth and nonviolence. He alleged that electoral manipulation had been exposed and said that, even if it takes time, truth would prevail in India.

Referring to a recent exchange in Parliament, Rahul Gandhi claimed that Amit Shah's hands were "trembling" while responding to allegations on electoral reforms, alleging the Home Minister spoke on behalf of the ECI. He challenged Shah to a public debate to establish the truth, asserting that alleged vote theft was an attack on the Constitution and the principle of "one person, one vote".
