Company fined after worker badly injured by machine

A NORTHUMBERLAND company has been fined £40,000 after an employee became entangled in a machine.
-
The male worker from Site and Field Services Limited in Ashington, Northumberland, got stuck in a horizontal borer while cleaning swarf from the machine.
Newcastle Magistrates' Court heard how he got caught in the rotating tool piece, which had been left running. The incident occurred on November 30, 2023.
