For me it was taking my first days-old baby home from hospital in a red model, back seat, still blinking about what had just happened.

Micra memories are made of this. It is something the Japanese company is particularly aware of as it launches its sixth - yes sixth - generation of this incredibly popular small car.

For it has embedded itself in our way of life. Over the years it has changed from a boxy shape to a more rounded one, smaller and bigger versions until we get to the 2025 model, a friendly little number with big round headlights and taillights, smart wheels and flush rear handles.
