Events celebrated and thanked Stirling's carers
Stirling Observer
|December 24, 2025
The contribution of unpaid carers across Stirling was celebrated at a pair of festive events organised by a local charity.
More than 250 carers and their families enjoyed a series of events put together by Stirling Carers Centre, getting some much-needed respite time and the opportunity to let their hair down.
The programme included a Young Carers Christmas Party, trips to the Macrobert Centre Panto for Young Carers and Parent Carers groups, and the annual Carers' Christmas Lunch.
A highlight of the Christmas Lunch was the debut performance by the Stirling Sunshine Singers, a dementia-inclusive singing group created in partnership with Stirling Albert Halls.
One unpaid carer, Helen, reflected on the importance on getting some valuable downtime at a busy period of caring responsibilities.
