THE circumstances around a man's death remain a mystery six months after he was found with severe injuries in the street.

Jake Carroll, 30, from Southport, was found by police officers at around 2.20am on Sunday, May 18 on Preston New Road in Little Plumpton, Lancashire

Jake Carroll, 30, from Southport, was found by police officers at around 2.20am on Sunday, May 18 on Preston New Road in Little Plumpton, Lancashire.

Jake was unresponsive and had suffered a significant head injury. He was taken to hospital and was pronounced dead on the evening Friday, May 23.

On May 18, a 27-year-old man from Wesham, Lancashire, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He was released on conditional bail.
