COTLAND coach Bryan Easson reckons his team are in much better shape ahead of the Women’s Rugby World Cup than they were when the tournament was last played.
But he is convinced they will still have to fight all the way if they are to get the better of Wales in Saturday’s opening Pool B match.
Last time round, in 2022, Scotland lost all three of their pool games after qualifying for the World Cup finals for the first time in a dozen years. That included an 18-15 defeat by the Welsh first up.
Easson said: “I'll be honest: I was really frustrated after the last World Cup in New Zealand, because I didn’t think we were good enough.
