Departing Tannadice skipper targets top-flight stay with hometown move

- TAYLOR MURRAY

Out-going Dundee United captain Ross Docherty has dropped a major hint that he could be eyeing a return to Paisley.

The 32-year-old is leaving Tannadice after two seasons, with his contract expiring at the end of May.

And now, speaking after the Tangerines qualified for Europe at the expense of St Mirren, Docherty teased that a return to his hometown could be on the cards as he looks to continue plying his trade in the Premiership.

Having previously been a player for Saints when he was a young teen, the former Partick Thistle, Ayr United, Airdrie, and Livingston player says it is a club that is still close to his heart.

Historical works of Barts

THERE'S no delicate way to put this, so I'll just have to tell it as it is. Halfway through this programme, we watch a poor woman having her legs removed. And it's done while she's wide awake. But, as dreadful as this makes me sound, I have to say it doesn't upset me that much.
