Scotland's natural environment is in danger.

In the last fortnight the Scottish Government has allowed Flamingo Land's destructive mega-resort proposals to go ahead on the shores of Loch Lomond, and took a hammer blow to South West Scotland by scrapping the proposed Galloway National Park.

We're in the grip of a climate and nature emergency. Protecting Scotland’s world famous natural environment should be a priority for our government.

And yet, instead of putting our natural heritage first, Scottish Ministers have caved to super-rich lobbyists and developers looking for a quick profit.

A record 155,000 people objected to Flamingo Land’s plans, backed by experts like the National Trust for Scotland, the Woodland Trust, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, and the National Park’s own planning team.

The Park's board unanimously rejected the application.
