The eight teams remaining in this year’s Paisley & District Darts League Cup met in a bid to progress on Monday night.

- JOHN MCCULLOCH

Hagg Bar was the venue for The Midton’s tie with Hashtag Bar who took the first game and then carried forward the momentum to run up a 4-0 lead through Jamie McCabe, Bryan Hannah, Stevie Tepper and Paul Carruthers.

They were on the brink of finals night but The Midton had other ideas as they fought to get back in it with Andy Bryan and Chris Dowling winning tussles five and six.

In the doubles, it was The Midton that battled hardest to draw level but Hashtag wouldn't be denied as Jason Haxton and Tepper clinched the decider to make it 5-4.

The next game was at Pockets where Pockets B faced pub mates Pockets Aand with both teams now resident in Division One, it looked set to be a cracker.

Mark Moohan opened the scoring for Pockets A with a 3-0 victory which was swiftly followed by James Kildare and John McCallum winning with the same scoreline.
