Woman's fear as knife fight broke out outside her home

A WOMAN who saw a knife fight break out between two men has spoken about the distressing moment.

The 20-year-old, who lives on the border of Arnold and Daybrook, says she was woken up at 1.30am yesterday to the sounds of repeated shouting and screaming outside.

"It must have woken the whole street up - it was that loud," she told the Post.

"I just assumed it was like any other argument but when I heard what they were saying, I thought, 'what is going on?'

"There were two men fighting and running back and forth between each other while screaming at each other - it made me feel unsettled. We've never had anything like this before."
