Huge estate's school will have room for up to 630 pupils

A NEW 3,000-home estate on the edge of Nottingham has taken another step forward as plans are shared for a school at the sprawling development.

The Fairham development, which is located between Gotham in Rushcliffe and Clifton, in Nottingham, will include thousands of new properties, a business park, sports facilities, a possible tram link extension, and a primary school when finally completed.

Nottinghamshire County Council has now shared plans for the estate's school, which planners say is desperately needed as more residents move into the new neighbourhood.

The proposed scheme involves building what would initially be a 420-place primary school with a 39-place nursery. However, it would be constructed in a way that allows it to expand to 630 places when required in the future.
