HEAD COACH PLEASED WITH WAY HIS MAGPIES ADAPTED

- By SAM ALLEN

MARTIN Paterson was pleased with Notts County's adaptability in their away win against Bristol Rovers as the Magpies boss got the better of an old friend.

Paterson spoke briefly about his relationship with Rovers boss Darrell Clarke, who is enduring a tough time at his club.

The Magpies' dramatic late winner at the Memorial Stadium inflicted a club-record eighth straight League defeat on their opponents.

Paterson's side won despite going down to 10 men in the first half after Tyrese Hall's 35th-minute red card, with Matthew Dennis netting in the 86th minute after Notts had held firm for a long period. They returned to winning ways following their 3-1 home defeat against Colchester United the previous weekend.
