Legends refreshed and reloaded

AS new games come out thick and fast (particularly in the run up to Christmas), there are those that hang around for years, keeping the pulse alive through constant updates and refreshes.

This mostly applies to multiplayer games, with some notable updates coming recently to Apex Legends, The Finals and Rainbow 6 Siege X.

Running for over six-and-a-half years, Apex Legends is still going strong and has mutated over the years, though sticking to the same battle royale future-bloodsports formula it launched with.

The Showdown update (or Season 26 if you like numbers) dropped last month, bringing some sweeping changes to the game.

Weapon upgrades have been reworked, Legend Amps introduce new per-match powers and Ranked matches start with esports-style drop zones.
