Attacks families call for NHS trust to be placed into ‘special measures’

THEY HAVE ‘LOST ALL CONFIDENCE’ AFTER DAMNING CQC REPORT

THE families of the three Nottingham attack victims have said they have “lost all confidence” in the NHS trust responsible for Valdo Calocane after a damning CQC report was released this week.

The families have called for Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to be placed into “special measures” after the report, released yesterday, found that their mental health services “were not always humane, dignified or gave high quality care”.

Valdo Calocane, who has been diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia, killed Barnaby Webber, Grace O'Malley Kumar and Ian Coates, as well as attempting to kill three other people in June 2023.

The statement from the three families called for the trust to be placed into special measures immediately.
