Help combat fake news, media urged

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has renewed his call to the media to help combat fake news.
Fake news, he said, has taken too much space and become damaging.
Speaking before journalists at the year-end fellowship with the media covering Malacañang on Wednesday, Dec. 3, Marcos stressed that the proliferation of fake news remains a big problem and "is something we have to be concerned about."
He expressed that in the beginning, it was entertaining but has now become damaging, citing "crazy conspiracy theories" that have no basis.
