Tram-death horror after victim 'falls onto tracks'

A MAN has died after being hit by a tram.

Emergency crews descended on the scene at the Harbour City Metrolink stop in the Salford Quays area at around 10.25pm on Sunday.

A huge cordon was put in place as police, fire crews and paramedics responded.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His age has not been revealed by Greater Manchester Police at this stage.
