A joy to lead Midnight Mass in city
Liverpool Echo
|December 24, 2025
THE Christmas period is always a busy time for us all at Liverpool Cathedral, but hosting BBC Radio 4 for Midnight Mass this evening is a privilege, not least as a way to share messages of peace as we come to worship the God who knows and loves us.
Leading Midnight Mass is always a humbling experience and something I cherish each year. Midnight Mass holds deep significance, drawing worshippers together on Christmas Eve to celebrate the birth of Jesus. It creates a warm sense of togetherness and hope as worshippers welcome the light of Jesus into the world.
