Illegal haul seized from car as shoplift suspect is held

FELT tips pens, calculators and Nicorette products to help smokers kick the habit were among a haul seized from a car after a man was reported to have been shoplifting.

Police have released photographs of a varied haul of items confiscated as part of an investigation into shoplifting in Hinckley.

The officers were in the town centre on Tuesday last week when CCTV operators called them to a shop in The Crescent shopping area. The police, along with Crescent security guards, tracked a suspect to the Church Walk car park where he got into a vehicle.
