Boy admits plunging 'zombie knife' into heart of man in home

A TEENAGER who was accused of murdering a man with a so-called “zombie knife” has admitted the lesser charge of manslaughter.

The accused’s mum and neigh-bour have also entered guilty pleas in their own cases, bringing the trial in Leicester to an end.

The boy, who cannot be named due to his age, was 16 when he stabbed Louis Howard at about 10.30pm on Wednesday, April 9.

Mr Howard, who was 35, had been let into the boy’s family home, in Braunstone Frith, and was trying to grab a phone from the boy's mother's pocket when he was fatally stabbed in the heart.
