Henry vows to come back stronger after a world silver

LAUREN Henry has pledged to come back stronger next season after she was narrowly beaten to gold in the women's single sculls final at the World Rowing Championships in Shanghai.

Henry, above, of Lutterworth, finished just 0.03 seconds behind Fiona Murtagh in her first season in this boat class.
“Obviously, I'm really pleased to come away with a medal, but it is disappointing,” said Henry, 23.
“I said I was coming here for the gold and it's sad to miss out by less than a centimetre.
“All credit to Fiona, she's a fantastic sculler.
