Hopes For Statehood Restoration Fading: CM Omar

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Monday admitted that his hopes for the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir's statehood were fading as the issue continued to linger without resolution.
Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Omar said, "I was hopeful from day one, but that hope is diminishing. The longer this issue drags on, the less hopeful we become. Still, there is some hope left — and it would be better if statehood is restored while that hope remains."
