Young Kent stars show their ace skills for GB in Turkey

Ruben Harris levelled the opening tie for the GB Juniors when he defeated Sonny Rennison 6-1, 6-2 after Will Barton narrowly missed out to Arlo Shawcross 2-6, 4-6.

Ruben Harris and Lucas De Gouveia paired up for the deciding doubles match against Australia’s Harrison Dudley and Gillie Lumby.

It was a strong finish from the GB team as they came through with relative ease to take the 6-1, 6-1 victory.

A great start to their round-robin group.

On day two, Ruben Harris and Matthew Knoesen were back in singles action. Knoesen put in a brilliant performance but eventually lost to Vitoria Miranda 4-6, 7-6 (2), 6-3, whilst Harris saw off Luiz Calixto 6-4, 6-0 to level the 1-1 scoreline.

For the second day in a row, Great Britain’s junior team had to clinch a doubles decider to win their tie against Brazil 2-1.
