OCEANMAN World Final C'ship attracts 2,800 swimmers

Dubai is set to host the OCEANMAN World Final Championship from Dec.5 to 7, in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council (DSC), at Kite Beach, where more than 2,800 swimmers from 93 nationalities will compete across men’s, women’s, and children's categories.

The field includes Olympic champions and more than 1,200 national champions from around the world, with 80 percent of participants arriving from outside the UAE specifically to take part in the event.
Details of the championship were announced during a press conference held at the Dubai Sports Council headquarters. Speakers included Issa Sharif, Director of the Sports Events Department at the Dubai Sports Council. Fermin Egido, Chairman of the Organising Committee. Ukrainian Olympic champion Mykhailo Romanchuk, winner of a silver and bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with three Olympic appearances, a world championship gold, a Youth Olympic gold in 2014, six European Championship golds, and numerous other medals.
