More delays on M25 as protesters climb on to gantries
Evening Standard
|November 08, 2022
JUST Stop Oil protesters caused major delays on the M25 today by climbing onto gantries to halt traffic in several places despite the threat of potential prison terms of up to 10 years.

Some of the worst disruption caused the closure of the Dartford Tunnel with delays of 60 minutes and five-mile-long congestion after a member of the protest group climbed onto a gantry on the M25’s nearby junction 31.
But there were also significant holdups elsewhere with protesters scaling gantries between junctions 7 and 8, 8 and 9, and 12 and 13 to the south of London, as well as at junction 27 in Essex and junctions 20, 21a and 22 in Hertfordshire among others.
