Al-crafted songs celebrate joys of walking in county

A DERBY walking group has been blending adventure with technical innovation recently, as a way of sharing their enthusiasm of their hobby.

Members of Tuesday Trampers, a Derby u3a walking group, explore the countryside around Derby and the Peak District every Tuesday.

Now, they've also taken a creative approach to sharing their passion by using artificial intelligence (AI) to craft original songs that celebrate the joy of walking in Derbyshire and Lancashire.

The song, Forever Young Fools, is their first track, one designed to inspire their members and encourage new walkers.

The group's organiser, Dave Greenhall, set out to make a song about breaking the myth that age is a barrier to an active life.

More songs have been added to the playlist of Tuesday Trampers which has gone viral.

"Walking keeps us fit, lifts our spirits, and strengthens friendships," said Dave.

"The song is an invitation to lace up your boots, join our eight-mile adventures, and discover the beauty of the outdoors together." Dave wrote the lyrics, the start of his creative process.
