PRINCESS Margaret apparently had the hots for John Travolta, as the Daily Star revealed yesterday.

The Grease star said, "She hit on me!" after meeting the late royal, according to Hollywood exec Barry Diller.

And it wouldn't have been the first time a top toff made a questionable romantic choice.

When it comes to royal rogues, Eadwig I was - literally - the king. He started strong in 955AD by missing his own coronation for a romp with two women, thought to have been his future wife Ælfgifu and her mother Æthelgifu.
