Not right in the Ed

NEWCASTLE boss Eddie Howe has admitted he disagreed with his own captain in the fallout from the Wear-Tyne derby loss to Sunderland.

After Bruno Guimaraes called the 1-0 defeat on Sunday "a mess", Howe (inset) played down the Brazilian's assessment and felt he was off target with some of his post-game remarks.

Guimaraes was sent out to face reporters after the Stadium of Light humbling and he offered a passionate response to the performance, but Howe only partially agreed with him.
