SQUAD KNOWS WE WERE THE ONES WHO GOT RUSSELL SACK, ADMITS ROTHWELL
Daily Record
|October 07, 2025
RUSSELL MARTIN has paid the price for Rangers’ wretched start to the season — but Joe Rothwell admits the real responsibility for the results that got the manager sacked lies with the Ibrox squad.

But Rothwell reckons it's the Rangers first team who must shoulder the blame for the dismal run that has cost Martin and his backroom staff their jobs.
The former Leeds player was the final Rangers player to speak to the media before the club announced Martin's departure.
