Jim confident United loan stars will be on board for full season

- SCOTT BURNS

JIM GOODWIN is sure his important loan players will remain at Dundee United for the season.

United have Ivan Dolcek, Luca Stephenson, Krisztian Keresztes, Max Watters and Amar Fatah in their ranks.

But Premiership rivals Motherwell suffered a blow when Celtic recalled on-loan stopper Stephen Welsh earlier this week.

But boss Goodwin, who is set to sign Barnsley defender Neil Farrugia on a two-and-a-half year deal, believes his loanees will see out of the campaign at Tannadice.

And United have an option to buy with the likes of Dolcek and Keresztes.

Goodwin insisted: “We're confident, yes, that all those guys will be part of Dundee United for the rest of the season. Fatah and Stevenson have been really important for us. And Watters obviously got off to a great start.
