New gaffer didn't need any assurances for Rugby Spark

NEW Kilmarnock boss Neil McCann has revealed he refused to seek assurances over January reinforcements.

But the Rugby Park gaffer has guaranteed he'll get his squad working overtime to get out of relegation trouble.

McCann and his No.2 Billy Dodds have been hired on deals running to the summer of 2028 after the former was named successor to Stuart Kettlewell.

But in the short-term, they have a huge challenge getting Killie out of danger.

The duo head will take charge of their first game when they head to Livingston on Saturday, with Kilmarnock only four points better off than Davie Martindale's basement boys having played a game more.
