Tears for girl, 10, slain in beach massacre
THE mother of the youngest victim of the Bondi Beach Hanukkah massacre says the agony of losing her little girl will always stay in her heart.
The Sydney beach became a sea of floral tributes yesterday as it was revealed the father and son killers had taken part in military style training in the Philippines.
Sajid Akram, 50, and his son Naveed, 24, had travelled to Davao, in an area linked to Islamic State extremism, in November.
An investigation has been launched into how their visit was not flagged as a risk, and how Sajid Akram was granted licences for six guns despite his son's links to IS.
Among the mourners at yesterday's vigil were the parents of Matilda, 10, the youngest of 15 victims of the shootings.
