Bonfest celebrates 19 years at late singer's birthplace in Angus glens

DIEHARD AC/DC fans from at least 35 countries have flocked to a tiny Scots town to pay homage to the band.

Rockers have travelled from far-flung places such as Barbados, Palestine and South Africa to Kirriemuir, in Angus, for Bonfest, which celebrates the birthplace and life of late founding member Bon Scott.

The team behind Bonfest, now in its 19th year, were stunned while scouring ticket data to realise the global reach of the event over the last three years.

And with the legendary band set to return to Scotland for the first time in a decade, later this summer, organisers believe they are set for their best year yet.
