MacDonald for the heist at a NatWest bank in Torquay that would net £6million.
Macdonald, 64, said: "I knew Mick from our time in Barlinnie. He came to see me in disguise while he was on the run and said I didn’t need to go into the bank. I could be the getaway driver. I thought with my share I could retire to Spain.
